BOTANIC PORTRAITS

LAUREL HOLLIS FELDMAN

"In one moment an artistic eye sees, judges, and captures what nature, objects, and man provide."

Laurel Hollis Feldman is the founder of Laurel Feldman Interiors, Inc., IIDA.  She has over three decades of experience as an accomplished interior designer.  She defines herself as a "conceptual artist", visualizing and conceiving original designs for her interiors, as well as, many art mediums.  Love of the garden and all its offerings is a continuous source of inspiration.  She sees all of art, design and nature as one.  Photography is a natural extension of her artistic vision.  It allows her to capture the ephemeral moments of beauty that she so vividly sees.

Firmly grounded in the strength and beauty of nature itself, the photographs of Feldman are to convey that the  design of the natural world has everything to do with the design of our personal worlds.  The reflected silvered waters of a lily pond, the many layered colorful petals of a rose, the mysterious interior detail of orchids, the strong architectural or soft and abstract lines of a leaf, nature's own compositions scattered on a lakeside path is to encourage all of us to reconsider our relationship to the natural world.
